Material Types
Type 1: CLEAN and DRY virgin excavated material only – such as clay or soil
Type 2: CLEAN and WET material only – such as clay or soil
Type 3: MIXED and DRY – dry material mixed with concrete, vegetation, bricks etc. within criteria
Type 4: MIXED and WET – wet material mixed with concrete, limited vegetation, bricks etc. within criteria
Type 5: CLEAN Concrete, Rock, Asphalt, Aggregates etc. (not mixed)
Slop/Unsuitable (POA): Dirt or mixed material with zero structure or containability. Subject to approval. Must be able to push over material with bulldozer. (No More then 10% of small concrete no bigger the 200mm)
Please Note:
Any loads that are deemed very wet must be preapproved by site operator or may be turned away.
No contaminated fill will be accepted
We reserve the right to alter any incorrect dockets.
Important Definitions
Clean means strictly clean. No dirt, no rebar, no bricks, or other contaminants.
Terms of Trade
Waste declaration forms must be completed prior to tipping on site.
All prices are based on truck size/wheels
All prices are exclusive of GST.
Waiteitei Station cannot accept materials outside the approved Clean Fill categories. This includes green waste, general refuse, hazardous materials, hydrocarbons, plastics, rubber, tyres, and materials with high heavy metal readings.

Clean fill definition & acceptance criteria

Clean fill is defined in Rule 5.5.48(a) of the ARP: ALW by reference to the MfE document A Guide to the Management of Clean fills, 2002 as:
“..material that when buried will have no adverse effect on people or the environment; and includes virgin materials such as clay, soil and rock, and other inert materials such as concrete or brick that are free of:
Combustible, putrescible, degradable or leachable components
Hazardous substances
Products or materials derived from hazardous waste treatment, hazardous waste stabilization or Hazardous waste disposal practices
Materials that may present a risk to human health
Liquid waste

Materials imported onto the site must not be from a known contaminated or high risk site – see examples below:
Soil from a petrol station.
Soil from a known contaminated site.
Materials that may contain harmful Coal Tars
Soil from a timber treatment plant
Materials classified as contaminated
Soils and materials from industrial farming operations.
Note: Contractors delivering material that does not meet the criteria outlined below will be liable for any remediation / disposal costs which are borne by Waiteitei Station
